Artiphon’s free iOS companion app is the easiest way to start playing your INSTRUMENT 1 right out of the box. Intuitively choose sounds, tunings, and other settings. Design new instruments and save them in your library. And because the INSTRUMENT 1 is a connected device, it's always getting better – new features and product enhancements are being pushed all the time.

Artiphon has been featured in hundreds of publications around the world, including Fast Company, Forbes, WIRED, Buzzfeed, TechCrunch, and more. See more at

Artiphon's Kickstarter campaign launched in March, 2015 and surpassed its funding goal of $75,000 in under six hours. The company has now shipped to all backers, and continues to be the highest-raising crowdfund for a musical instrument on any platform.

The INSTRUMENT 1 is a current best-seller at the MoMA Design Store (the retail branch of the Museum of Modern Art) in NYC and Tokyo. The product is also available via, B8ta Store, Urban Outfitters, and More information on current and future retailers is available upon request.

Artiphon’s user community is diverse and global. It includes beginners, hobbyists, and accomplished professionals playing any kind of music you can imagine. See what they're sharing on social media.

The multi-instrument provides an entirely new approach to interactive music learning, letting students focus on their own expression and playfulness. Artiphon is launching pilot programs with multiple partner organizations around the country, including the Boy Scouts of America and Young Producers Group.

Artiphon’s patent portfolio is licensable in musical instrument, education, gaming, VR, and other markets. The company holds a utility patent on the “multi-instrument,” as well as four design patents on the INSTRUMENT 1.

Prior to launching on Kickstarter, Artiphon raised $700k of convertible debt from Steve Case, 500 Startups, Eric Ries, and other angel investors. This enabled four years of research and development, intellectual property protection, and significant early traction in the global market.
